Deposit
A $150 deposit is mandatory to secures your appointment.
It's non-refundable, but it comes off the final price of your tattoo.
You can send it by Interac e-transfer or PayPal to hemeratattoo@gmail.com
(e-transfer security answer: tattoo).
Please send your deposit within 24 hours of booking, appointments without a deposit on file may be released without notice, so the calendar stays fair for everyone waiting. Your deposit stays valid for 6 months from the date it's paid; if more time passes without an appointment, a new one will be needed to rebook.
Your deposit will be forfeited if you cancel, don't show up, arrive more than 30 minutes late without notice, or reschedule with less than 72 hours notice.
Rescheduling
Life happens and I totally understand!
If you need to move your appointment, just give at least 72 hours notice so there's a fair chance to fill the spot. Your deposit carries over as long as you're rescheduling with enough notice, up to 2 times on the same deposit. A third reschedule will need a new deposit, which helps keep the schedule sustainable for everyone.
Pricing
My hourly rate is $185/h.
For medium to larger projects, I'll often book a full day session, which comes at a discounted rate of $1,100 for 6 to 7 hours. The final price depends a lot on size, placement, level of detail, and how well you're able to sit through the session.
If you ask for a quote ahead of time, keep in mind it's based on my best estimate of how long the piece will take, so the final price may end up a bit different if the tattoo takes longer than expected.
Payment is due in full at the time of your tattoo.
Cash is preferred; Interac e-transfer and credit card are also accepted, with taxes added.
Touch-ups
I generally offer one free touch-up per tattoo, as long as it's within six months of your original session and doesn't essentially mean reworking the whole piece.
A few things fall outside the free touch-up: sessions that need more than two hours of work, white ink tattoos, tattoos in areas that almost always need a second pass (fingers, knuckles, palms, and similar spots), and tattoos that healed poorly due to sun exposure or swimming during the healing period. Thes will be subject to a $100 fee, and the same fee applies to any touch-up after that first one),
During your appointment
The outcome and the time it takes to complete a tattoo depends largely on how well you can sit still while I'm tattooing you.
Laughing and chatting are always welcome, but please keep the energy calm and the talking measured while I'm actively tattooing, since bigger movements can shift the skin mid-line.
I won't tattoo over skin that has numbing cream applied, sunburn, rashes, eczema or psoriasis breakouts, or is otherwise compromised. Please let me know ahead of time if any of this applies to the area we planned to work on.
Designs
I don't send designs ahead of the appointment, and I don't begin designing until your deposit is paid.
We'll take all the time we need to review the design together at the start of your session and make any adjustments needed. All modification is free of charge, as long as they stay within the spirit of the original project.
General
You're welcome to bring one guest, though they may be asked to step out of the booth if they're distracting you from sitting still. For everyone's sanity, please don't bring rowdy kids, clingy partners, or anyone who thinks they know more about tattooing than a professional tattoo artist.
Many thanks in advance.
Please be mindful of your personal hygiene before you come in.
I don't tattoo anyone under the age of 18 or anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
If I don't feel your idea is a good match for what I do, I'll be upfront with you and refer you to another artist who'd be a better fit.
