Hi!
I'm Natasha,
the artist behind Hemera Tattoo.

I'm based in Montreal and I've been tattooing full time since 2017.
I'd describe my style as black and grey mystical realism:
rooted in realism, but pushed toward something more graphic, with spiritual and mythical themes.

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. After high school, I was encouraged to continue my studies in graphic design. I enjoyed the learning, but by the time I finished, I realized I didn't want to spend my life in front of a computer, working for a firm, finding ways to make products or services I didn't believe in look appealing.

So I booked a one way ticket to Thailand and traveled solo for almost two and a half years.

I spent six months volunteering in a small, remote village in northern Thailand, then traveled through the rest of Southeast Asia, New Zealand, and Hawaii. It was during that volunteer work that I really questioned myself and the direction my life was heading. So I asked myself a simple question: where do I see myself in 10 to 20 years? The answer came right away. Tattooing. That's what I wanted to do.

From then on, that direction stayed with me throughout my travels, waiting for when I was ready to come home. I visited tattoo studios in every city I passed through, keeping that goal in focus, but I always knew I wanted to start my career back home in Montreal.

When I finally returned, everything seemed to align. A chain of people led me to the best mentor I could have hoped for: Vero Imbo, a strong, passionate, and talented woman known internationally for her incredible realism work. She taught me not only the technical side of tattooing, but everything that surrounds it, and her unshakable dedication to the craft.

I've been smitten with this art form ever since. There's nothing quite like meeting someone new, hearing their idea, and bringing it to life on their skin. I'm endlessly curious about the people who sit in my chair, and I strive to get better at this craft every single day. Every project I take on gets my full heart, because this isn't just a career to me, it is a true passion. And even after almost 10 years, I'm still grateful to all the people who have trusted me to let me leave a piece of my art on them, forever.

You have an idea? I'd love to hear about it!

"Un gros gros merci pour le bon temps et pour ce projet, je suis vraiment contente et je vois finalement la vision que je voulais depuis des années ce réalisé, un gros merci à toi et j'ai bien hâte de te revoir !"
"Instructions from booking to aftercare were always very clear, you always checked in that I felt comfortable throughout the process. It was a great pleasure chatting and getting tattooed by you :)"
"It seemed to me that you have a very client-centered approach. It felt like you really cared what I thought and cared about my comfort. I believe that this is very important and it was really appreciated."
